JMU reports Sirius I finished ninth overall and earned AIAA's reusable-launch-vehicle award. Its retrospective discusses a triple-deployment recovery system and lessons in teamwork and systems integration. This is an August retrospective, not an August launch.

Cedarville reports third overall at the Midwest high-power competition, first in design presentation and second in technical reporting. The university also describes a separately launched experimental vehicle with apogee control.
